The first Tuesday of September (9/3) coincides with the first meeting of the City Council since the summer break. They are asking for public input on, and will discuss enforcement of, the no camping Ordinance on the Bulb (due to happen in October), given that no-one from there has yet been housed. It is an issue some of us would like to be more involved in, so we are starting the potluck HALF AN HOUR EARLY – at 6:30 pm, and some of us may leave before the end. (The item is unlikely to be addressed until 8 or 8:30 pm.)
Meanwhile, Meera is leading the evening, giving everyone plenty of time to get to know each other, with a rhythm circle at the end. Please bring (or improvise!) a rhythm instrument.
6:30 pm is our winter start time, so let’s call this the switch over to every potluck through the winter starting at 6:30 pm.
In this class, Nori Hudson helps us understand the workings of our digestive tract. She will point out what body signs and symptoms to pay attention to and will teach us self care with the help of kitchen table remedies. She will help us determine what life style changes we can make to improve our general health. We will get copies of a questionnaire to take home to help us begin to see what is going on with our digestive tracts.
