Putting Permaculture Into Practice in the Edible Landscape kicks off with an overview of Permaculture and exploration of our class project at the Senior Center, followed by a walk to the Edible Landscape in Memorial Park for a tour and discussion about what we find there and why.
In February, Marilyn Sterling will lead a fun variation on the Gift Circle regarding the gifts of service we can offer each other.
As always we start with delicious food and company, so bring a dish or drink and come on over to enjoy conversation and inspiration from others who value living more lightly on the earth. The Gift Circle begins around 7:30 pm. $5 helps pay for the venue…
The church provides plates, utensils and even a (rather old and funky) oven for warming things, as well as a gas stove.
In March we have a special treat led by Loni Gray: The Dream Pond. Please go here to read what you need to do to prepare for it. The more people who come in March the more powerful the exercise, so please tell your friends and join us.
New to our Dream Catcher Project?
We sometimes dismiss the things that are most special to us personally as less important, as we go about the “busy-ness” of our lives. But please do not make light of your dreams! What you do for yourself amplifies into an energy that fills our community. In the big picture, we all need each other to be doing the thing that most lights our fire. So do this simply because YOU deserve the gift. Here are the instructions to prepare for tonight – START NOW! (more…)
Happy Year of the Horse!
To start the New Year, Transition Albany offers a class on 9 Star Ki basics focusing on energetic relationships. This particular lens will show you a frame from which to view your relationships with others and the world. How is this relevant to Transition Albany’s goals? I’m claiming that without something like 9 Star Ki as a tool to help you see the world around you, any collaborative work becomes more complex and challenging. I’m sure we all have stories to tell on this issue.
If you’re like the rest of us, you have relationships that invigorate you, inspire you, drain you, turn your hair gray, make you want to run away from it, and/or put you into conniption fits. The emotional roller coaster that some relationships put us through can leave us wanting to take a vacation from humans!
Wish navigating the world of relationships were simpler, right?
It can be. A bit. (Habits die hard.)
This class can help. If you’re inclined to give it a go.
