Did you know that our work in permaculture, homesteading, and building resilient community is also disaster preparedness work? Join this vibrant discussion about these overlapping fields, and explore ways of leveraging ‘crisis consciousness’ to enhance your efforts to build truly resilient community. Learn how to assemble your own “go bag,” receive great practical resilience and emergency-prep tips that could save lives, and share your wisdom and experience in this interactive workshop.

Lesley Moore is a writer, educator, organizer, and artist with fund and organizational development expertise who seeks to apply permaculture principles to its own sustainability and adoption. She works with individuals, groups and organizations to design, structure and resource regenerative right thrivelihoods and use of the flow of philanthropy and other community resources. She is the former Development Director of the Watershed Project, a member of the Gill Tract Farm, and an advisory board member of the Cob Research Institute. She has an MBA and Masters in Social Work from Columbia University, and a background in dance and theatre. She earned her PDC in 2014 from the San Francisco Urban Permaculture Institute and is based in the SF Bay Area. Lesley is a certified volunteer emergency CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) responder.
