The walk will include some of Albany's history, an overview from Albany Hill, and a ceremony to honor the ancient keepers of this land and to ask assistance as we recreate a low energy, local-based lifestyle. Wear shoes with traction, long pants, and bring a stick if you need one for walking on steep trails.

Time: 10:00 am

Join in Albany's first community-wide clothing swap. Saturday, April 24, 10 am to noon. Albany Community Center, Rooms 1 & 2. Clean out your closets and bring your wearable-but-unwanted clothing to the Community Center where you can rummage through everyone else's wearable-but-unwanted items and find a fabulous new-to-you Spring wardrobe! Bring one bag or more of your washed, gently worn items (men's, women's and children's clothing) and be admitted to our fabulous swap room where clothing will be set out by type (pants, skirts, shirts, blouses, etc.). Choose items and take them home. There won't be a dressing room or mirrors, but you can try things on over your clothes and meet your neighbors and ask them for fashion advice!

Join bike enthusiasts, parents and kids for our third "Kidical Mass" Albany Family Fun Ride... a fun, legal and safe ride for the entire family. We'll be biking an easy 3-mile route. Starting location is Albany's Memorial Park (1325 Portland Ave). End destination will be Berkeley's Earth Day celebration in downtown Berkeley; food, music, educational activities and general festivities await us! Heavy rain cancels.
