The Future of Energy

April 3, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - Event Details

Join us for a free community screening of the Future of Energy – a positive documentary about the renewable energy revolution taking place in the USA right now (see the trailer here).  The question is not if we are going to go to 100% renewable energy, it is how and when. “This is the largest social movement in human history” –Joanna Macy (quoted in the film)

After the screening, learn about Community Choice (Energy) Aggregation in the East Bay and why this is the way to go forward… Alex DiGiorgio from Marin Clean Energy and speakers from the East Bay Clean Power Alliance will talk about how the Alameda County Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program – where we’re the ones producing the energy we use – is progressing. We’ll talk about how to invest in local energy and how to learn to install your own solar panels….

“100% renewable energy is not a dream. The technology is there. The money is there. We only need the belief and the political will to create this inspiring reality. That’s why The Future of Energy is such an important film. Watch it. Share it. And let’s create the future of clean energy NOW.” – Jurriaan Kamp, co-founder and editor-in-chief The Intelligent Optimist
