Catherine Sutton and Transition Albany helped to manifest the Albany Edible Garden at Albany Memorial Park, an exemplary example of community organizing in the Bay Area.

Please come to this special work party to honor Catherine’s legacy!

GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY WITH WORK IN THE GARDEN!
We will working on various tasks in the garden, from installing the sign honoring Catherine to placing wood chip on the paths and straw on the garden beds. Please bring gardening gloves and tools if you have them.

PARTICIPATE IN MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE!
Delia Carroll and Kat Steele will also be hosting a lively conversation about how we can mimic plant communities to foster our human communities. How can we foster more connections based in our urban landscapes? How can we use our neighborhood connections to create Food Forests from Albany to Oakland? Join these amazing permaculture educators for this insightful conversation.

JOIN US IN A SPECIAL UPCYLING CRAFTS ACTIVITY!
Delia will be leading us in a fun crafts activity to make pots out of discarded paper.
